Lapwing Lodge is owned and run by West Region Scout Council. We operate good quality, back to basic, self-catering, accommodation. We have a large camp field and on site Caplaw Dam on which our water activities take place.
We work hard to ensure our facilities are the best standard ensuring you have an enjoyable stay with us.
Our indoor facilities are warm, clean and well stocked, catering for up to 76 split over two wings, West Wing sleeps 48 beds, East Wing sleeps 28 beds in dorms of 4 or 6, both wings have fully stocked Kitchen, Dining Room, Sitting Room.
We are not for profit, self funded, managed by the Lapwing Lodge Management Board. Our full time resident Warden is supported by our Scout Active Support Unit as well as dedicated camp staff and a highly qualified maintenance team.
Lapwing Lodge is not limited to Scout Association use, we are open to all, youth organisations, community groups, corporate bookings, weddings and schools. We have also been used for filming this past year.

On the weekend of 23- 25 April 2021, You can get your tartan on, take on any challenge (walking, running, jumping on a trampoline … anything!) and raise funds to support Lapwing Lodge Outdoor Centre. All funds raised will be topped up by 50% thanks to The Hunter Foundation.
